I’m Brian Katz, a partner at Herman, Katz, Gisleson & Cain (HKGC) in New Orleans. For more than two decades, I’ve helped people rebuild after serious injuries caused by accidents, dangerous products, and unsafe construction sites.
I’m a partner at Herman, Katz, Gisleson & Cain in New Orleans, Louisiana, where I represent people in personal injury, construction, and products liability cases. I’ve tried and resolved cases in Louisiana state and federal courts, and I’m admitted to practice before all Louisiana courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana, and the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
My approach to practicing law is to listen closely, explain options clearly, and be prepared to take a case to trial if that’s what justice requires. I aim to make a difficult process less overwhelming for my clients while working toward the best possible outcome for their situation.
Most of my clients are individuals and families who’ve been hurt by someone else’s negligence—whether in a workplace accident, on a construction site, or by a defective product. If you need to discuss your situation, you can reach me through my firm’s New Orleans office at 504-581-4892.
I earned my law degree from Tulane University School of Law in 1996 and my undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama in 1991. Over the years, I’ve been active in professional associations, served as president of the Louisiana Association for Justice, and stayed involved in community leadership roles.
